The Zen of You and Me Integral Practice Retreat

Diane Musho Hamilton Sensei

July 30 - August 6, 2017

Two Arrows Zen Meditation Center

57 South 300 West

Torrey, Utah

Join Diane Musho Hamilton for a week of meditation and relationship practice set in the exquisite red rock country of Southern Utah.

The Zen of You and Me Integral Practice Retreat is an exploration of our sameness and our differences. We will meditate in the mornings and evenings, and in the afternoons, explore a range of skill sets that can strengthen our relationships.

Outings into the natural beauty of Capitol Reef National Park and other locations will be an essential part of your experience.

Over the course of eight days, Musho Sensei will engage the four pillars of Integral practice: cognition, meditation, shadow, and body. You will:

-- Engage meditation practice in the new Torrey Zendo.
-- Discover Integrally-informed relationship practices.
-- Encounter the grandeur of Nature for healing reconciliation.
-- Learn physical practices for strength, stability, and energetic sensitivity.
-- Connect with a community of Integral practitioners dedicated to open, authentic communication.
-- Experience one-on-one interviews with Musho Sensei.
-- Enjoy delicious, healthy meals (with vegetarian options) prepared by our excellent kitchen.

This program will draw on practices from Musho Sensei's latest book, The Zen of You & Me: A Guide to Getting Along with Just About Anyone (Shambhala Publications, 2017).

"We are constantly in relationship with others, and here Diane Hamilton has offered us a playbook to ensure that every one of those relationships become more fluid, joyful, and harmonious.”  — Lodro Rinzler, author of Love Hurts and The Buddha Walks into a Bar...

Participants are encouraged to coordinate ride shares from Salt Lake City to arrive no later than 4 pm on Sunday, July 30.

You will enjoy three healthy and nutritious meals a day during the retreat. We always offer a vegetarian option for the main course. Food is prepared in an outdoor kitchen. The same meal is served to all.

If you have medically indicated dietary needs, such as strictly gluten-free or lactose-free, we ask that you inform us in advance. A limited selection of gluten-free bread and cereals will be available on request. A medically diagnosed allergy to seafood or nuts requires that you inform us, and maintain your own rescue medication, such as an epi-pen. Refrigeration space is very limited and is not available for retreatant use, so please bring a cooler for your own items, including medications. The nearest full-service grocery is 18 miles from Torrey; there is a local general merchandise convenience store.

Summer is beautiful in Torrey. We will enjoy the longest days of the year, bright skies, and star-spangled nights. However, the day/night temperature swings in the high desert can be extreme.  Always expect the possibility of rain and/or wind. Bring a water bottle, brimmed hat, good closed-toe hiking shoes, sunglasses and sunscreen, and clothing you can layer. You will get a complete gear list with your orientation letter.

Daytime outings may require driving up to a half-hour to the destination. Hikes are generally short and on moderate terrain. A hiking stick to navigate uneven ground may be helpful.

The event registration form includes options to reserve lodging and camping space provided by Two Arrows Zen. You will receive confirmation as spaces are assigned.
