The Day of Zen with Michael Mugaku Zimmerman Roshi is for those who wish to receive meditation instruction or deepen their meditation practice with the support of a committed sangha. Participants will receive posture and breath instruction—the essence of Zen practice.

Prerequisites
If you are new to meditation, before registering for a Day of Zen, you may find it helpful to attend a sit with Two Arrows Zen at our location at 21 G Street. You’ll find more information about the daily meditation schedule HERE.

Participants will

• Engage in four hours of sitting and walking meditation.
• Listen to a Dharma talk and receive meditation instruction.
• Have the opportunity for an individual interview with the teacher (dokusan).
• Enjoy a light breakfast and healthy snacks.

$20 – Under 30 or Full-time Student
Pre-registration is required. No walk-ins, please.

ORIENTATION AT 7:40 AM
Please arrive and be ready to start at 7:40 am. Coffee, tea, and light breakfast items will be available. If this is your first Day of Zen, you will receive a brief orientation to the Zendo forms. The first sit starts at 8:00 am.

You can sit on a cushion or in a chair.

Please use on-street parking for the Day of Zen. Check the signs on G Street for parking restrictions.
